I have enjoyed millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the casinos when I was still underage. I have bet on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent a lot of bankroll at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it basically impossible to beat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that 21 seems to be a match of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very thrilling at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a few years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $5 wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first ten dollar wager
Bet $10
Leave $10 paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 wager
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager
Bet $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of $80
Wager 80 dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original eighty dollar bet
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Wager $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first $160 wager
If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
