I have gambled on countless of hands of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have wagered on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. Given all that I have still lost an abundance of bankroll at 21. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the casino.
I still like the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or defeat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the fact that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy twenty-one. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely thrilling sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this method! And a few weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet 5 dollar
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first five dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 wager
Wager twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet
Bet $40
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Bet $160
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you left at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s difficult to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
