I have bet on millions of hands of blackjack. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of bankroll at chemin de fer. The gambling dens have made it basically impossible to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this method or defeat the casino, still you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy 21. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the wager back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets very thrilling at times. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Paris a couple of years ago with $750 after 35 mins using this tactic! And a number of weeks ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you see gamble this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Wager $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first $10 bet
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20
Wager $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet 40 dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the first 40 dollar wager
Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original $80 wager
Wager $80
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $160 bet
If you left at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s iffy to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
